In October autumn, the air is filled with osmanthus fragrance. The golden season of this year witnesses the conclusion of the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest (2013) and the satisfactory achievement of SCNU.
In the current National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest (NUEDC), SCNU has won 14 awards and all the awards are at provincial or state level.
12 teams consisted of undergraduates from the school of Electronics and Information Engineering (EIE) has won 2 state-level first prizes and 1 state-level second prize, 5 provincial-level first prizes, 1 provincial-level second prize and 1 provincial-level third prize.
Both the amount and the level of this year's winning prizes have climbed to the all-time height. The excellent performance is regarded deservedly as a landmark during the course of practicing Educational Innovation in EIE.
Beginning in 1994,NUEDC hold once every two years. It is one of the four academic competitions of university students vigorously advocated by the Ministry of Education. Now the contest is becoming an academic competition of the longest duration, at the largest scale and with the strongest influence.
Excellent students from domestic universities in Science and Engineering listed in 985/211 Project are all participated in this year's NUEDC.
There are 11838 teams consisted of 35514 students from 1044 universities and colleges nationwide taking part in the 11th competition of this year.
After winning in the rigorous selection stages of the preliminary round (including the field-production and post-production testing), the comprehensive close test at provincial-level and nationwide quarter-final, 240 teams award the state-level first prizes and 566 teams state-level second prizes. The winning rate of the contest falls into 6.8% and the winning rate of the state-level first prize 2%.
EIE has been officially organized teams for NUEDC since 2001 and has participated every time afterwards. After more than a decade, EIE has fostered many high-quality and innovated talents.
We hope that the students and teachers of EIE could proceed with this honor as a starting point to climb higher mountains and create new brilliances.
